Carmenes is the Calar Alto high-Resolution search for M-dwarfs with Exoearths with Near-infrared and optical Echelle Spectrographs. Current research in exoplanets is driven by the detection of rocky Earth-like planets. The design of CARMENES is optimised for exoearth searches around M dwarfs. We will monitor 300 stars over 5 years. More information can be found here: CARMENES
I am the project manager for the Goettingen team and I am responsible for the high resolution data preparation of more than 600 stars
The EXtreme POlarimeter is an imaging polarimeter that operates at visible wavelengths. ExPo detects linearly polarised light, or scattered light, making EXPO an ideal instrument for imaging the circumstellar environments of young and old stars
I am the instrument scientist for EXPO and I coordinate the observing programs
BCool is a large international collaboration to investigate the origins and behavious of magnetism on young Suns. More information can be found here: BCOOL
